Sumyya Waliullah came to us as a Visiting Scholar last year and has now been hired in Lee Kalcsits’ program as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. She will continue to work on histology, microscopy and the molecular mechanism involved in physiological disorder in apple and pear. We are happy to have her here!

Sumyya Waliullah joined the Tree Fruit Physiology Lab under the supervision of Dr. Lee Kalcsits on December 1, 2016, as a Visiting Scholar. Welcome Alex Goke

Alex Goke was hired in September to work with Sara Serra, assisting in evaluating nondestructive quality measurements in apple and pear. He recently graduated with a BS in Botany from the University of Wisconsin with an interest in tree physiology. He is excited to explore this topic in an agricultural context with the Musacchi Group.
