IT News & Updates 2/25/19

There are only a couple of things for this week’s IT Blog.

The first item involves an email several of you received from the WSU Information Technologies Services about the Okta Project (new WSU security authentication process). I’ve dedicated a full post to this. You can read it here: http://tfrec.cahnrs.wsu.edu/admin/it-news-updates-okta/.

The second item is in regards to the announcement that WSU is planning to retire the central AMS system and replace it with ZOOM Pro meetings starting this Fall. This announcement was made at Monday’s Deans and Directors meeting, as well as at some department faculty meetings this week. Rather than duplicate the available information, I’m providing a link to the WSU Zoom deployment FAQ page: https://it.cahnrs.wsu.edu/2019/02/21/wsu-zoom-deployment-faq/. They will update the information as needed.  In the meantime, I will look into specific issues that may relate to our conferencing equipment.
