I am Hnin Phyu Lwin, a recent graduate from the Department of Plant Science and Technology at Chung-Ang University, South Korea, where I earned my Ph.D. in Plant Science. My research is focused on metabolomic and transcriptomic profiling to investigate the metabolic responses and gene expression associated with the development of internal browning disorder in Wonhwang’ Asian pears. During my doctoral studies, I actively contributed to several projects that aimed to assess the quality of fruits and vegetables, as well as advance postharvest storage technologies for apples, pears, paprika, jujube, kiwiberries, and onion. I am joining Dr. Carolina Torres’s Lab as a Post-doc in the fall of 2023.
