New Grad Student for Lee’s lab

Welcome to Thiago Campbell.

Thiago has studied plant physiology at The Pennsylvania State University, working specifically with hedging and root pruning in apple trees. Growing up in a world of subtropical plants and tropical plants in South Florida, he wanted to get a different experience that could make him more well-rounded.

From his time here at Washington State, he hopes to become more immersed and involved with the industrial growing areas and more aware of how large-scale operations function. He plans to work on biennial bearing in apples and study the mechanisms involved through crop load management and postharvest effects. He is very excited about all the outdoor recreation the area has to offer.
