New Grad Student for Achour’s Lab

I am Madan Pandey from Nepal. I have completed my undergraduate study in agricultural science at Tribhuvan University of Nepal. During my undergraduate study, I performed multiple research works and one of them was about understanding the efficacy of fungicides for controlling the late blight disease. My primary research interest is to dive deeper into the field of fungicide resistance. With the knowledge and experience I have gained from my past research works, I hope to continue my journey in the field of fungicide resistance, more particularly understand the mechanism of the development of fungicide resistance in the blue mold fungus (Penicillium spp.) of pome fruits in the Pacific Northwest, at Dr. Amiri’s Lab. However, I am quite flexible and open to any new ideas that are applicable to the real world. Along with the research work, I hope to develop better communication skills and participate in extracurricular activities while studying at WSU.
