Kutay Ozturk has a BS in Molecular Biology and Genetics and an MS in Biotechnology from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey where he worked on fungal diseases in wheat and barley. Kutay received his PhD from Massey University in New Zealand working on a project focusing on secondary metabolism of a foliar fungal pathogen of pine. Kutay has joined TFREC in the Plant Pathology Department with Dr. Achour Amiri where he will contribute to finding solutions to pome fruit diseases. Welcome to Wenatchee, Kutay!
