Madeline is joining Dr. Carolina Torres’s Lab as a master’s student in the Fall of 2023. She is originally from Madison, Wisconsin and received her BA in Environmental Studies and Geography, with a minor in Organic Agriculture, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Spring 2023. As an undergraduate, she worked in multiple labs in the UW-Madison horticulture department studying cranberries, hazelnuts, tomatoes, and peppers. Her current research focuses on different ways of assessing and understanding the firmness of sweet cherries under various post-harvest conditions. In her free time, she loves hiking, camping, cooking, and watching anime.
