Dr. Tobin Northfield has arrived!

Highly anticipated Entomology Integrated Pest Management/Biocontrol Assistant Professor has arrived at TFREC. Dr. Tobin Northfield earned his PhD in entomology and masters degree in statistics in 2011 from WSU. After two years as a USDA postdoctoral fellow, he spent five years as a lecturer and senior lecturer in northern Australia. He and his group will be researching insect ecology to identify sustainable pest management strategies in tree fruit crops. They will combine experiments, field observations and theoretical models to gain insights on novel control measures and their effects in the field. We are so excited to have Dr. Northfield join our TFREC family!
