New Postdoc for Achour’s Lab

Welcome Arild Arifin!

Arild Arifin obtained a PhD (2017-2021) in Ecology and Evolution from The Australian National University, Australia where he focused on the diversity and phylogenetics of Tulasnella mycorrhizal fungi in Australian terrestrial orchids. Previously he received a BS (2011) in Biotechnology from Atma Jaya Catholic University, Indonesia and had an opportunity as a research student at The Catholic University of Korea, Republic of Korea. During 2011-2016 he was a research assistant at Wilmar International in Indonesia, responsible for molecular detection, field trial, and biocontrol of fungal pathogen Ganoderma in oil palm. As a postdoc in Amiri Lab, his research will focus on molecular detection assays and epidemiology of emerging pome fruit pathogens.
