Welcome to Alexander Haase who will be joining Lee’s group as a Graduate Student. Alex received his bachelor of science degree in integrated plant sciences from WSU in May 2019. The summer prior he completed a cider apple orchard manager internship at WSU Mount Vernon. At Mount Vernon, he conducted research on using dry matter content as a quality metric for cider apples. This opportunity to conduct research with tree fruits inspired him to pursue a Masters of Sciences degree in tree fruit physiology. He hopes to one day work in the tree fruit industry, to help growers maximize their potential.
