My name is Yongbo Song and I am from China. I have received my bachelor’s at UC Davis majoring in International Ag Development and my master’s at Wageningen University in the Netherlands studying sustainable agriculture. After my master’s, I went back to China and worked at an agricultural company as an agrotechnician managing cherry orchards for three years. It was this experience that connected me to the world of tree fruits and inspired me to do research as a PhD on the subject. I will be joining Dr. Musacchi’s research team on endodormancy of apple trees. For free time, I like watching TV series, go to the movies, swimming and a bit of dancing.
