I received my bachelor&#8217;s degree in environmental studies from Oberlin College, with a focus on science communications and journalism. After completing a writing fellowship at Salon magazine&#8217;s science and health desk, I moved to Wenatchee, WA, where I took a position as a research technician at WSU-TFREC that led me down an unexpected path into research. Now, two years later, I will be pursuing a master&#8217;s in entomology, and I&#8217;m thrilled to be able to continue my work with pear insects in Dr. Rob Curtiss&#8217; lab in my new capacity as a student. Outside of work, my favorite way to spend time is rock climbing.
