Welcome to Emma Buczkowski! She grew up in Portland and received her B.S. in Botany from OSU and then went to the University of Wisconsin for her M.S. in Plant Pathology. Her thesis examined the impact of pesticides on the turfgrass microbiome and the effectiveness of it on the market biocontrol products for controlling dollar spot. She decided to switch it up a little and work on an edible crop and will be working as a Scientific Assistant on post-harvest diseases of apples here at TFREC.
